many options available at our Longmont office

Prior to fitting for contact lenses, our optometrist will perform a comprehensive eye exam. This provides the doctor with your most current prescription, and determines if you have any eye health problems which may affect contact lens wear.

Whether you are nearsighted or farsighted, or if you have astigmatism, many contact lens choices are available today. For an irregular eye surface, soft “toric” lenses or gas permeable lenses can be used. Many lenses come in a disposable or throw-away option, limiting the risk of eye health changes.

Wearing bifocal glasses? We fit many people with multifocal lenses which aid both distance and near vision. An additional option is monovision, whereby one eye is corrected for far vision, the other for near.
