Dr. Karbassi

Dr. Mohammad Karbassi was born in Iran, and came to the United States in 1979. He graduated with honors from UC San Diego in Biochemistry and Cell Biology, and attended George Washington University Medical School. After graduating in 1988, he pursued internship and residency in General Surgery at Harvard Surgical Services in Boston, MA. He later completed residency in Ophthalmology at Boston University, and also two fellowships: one in Clinical Research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, and one in Cornea and Refractive Surgery in Rochester, NY.

Dr. Karbassi sees patients for eye examinations, management of eye diseases, and cataract and corneal surgery. He subspecializes in the diagnosis and management of ocular surface disease, corneal disorders, corneal transplant and laser vision correction.

Dr. Karbassi is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He enjoys spending time with his wife, his boys, and his cars.
