Dr. Mohammad Karbassi, M.D.

Dr. Mohammad Karbassi, M.D.

Dr. Mohammad Karbassi was born in Iran, and came to the United States in 1979. He graduated from UC San Diego in Biochemistry and Cell Biology with honors, and attended George Washington University Medical School. After graduating in 1988, he pursued internship and residency in General Surgery at Harvard Surgical Services in Boston, MA. He later completed residency in Ophthalmology at Boston University. He has completed two fellowships: one in Clinical Research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, and one in Cornea and Refractive Surgery in Rochester, NY.

Dr. Karbassi is a board certified ophthalmologist. He is fellowship-trained in corneal surgery, specializing in corneal transplant, medical corneal conditions, and refractive surgery. He has extensive experience in LASIK and PRK. He performs cataract surgery and uses the latest technology and intraocular lenses.

Dr. Karbassi is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and is professionally affiliated with the American Board of Ophthalmology, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the Colorado Medical Society, the Colorado Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and the Boulder County Medical Society.

Dr. Dale Johnson, M.D.

Dr. Dale Johnson did his undergraduate studies at CU Boulder, and attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. After an internship in New York City, he joined the U.S. Navy as a flight surgeon. He had two tours of duty aboard the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk during the Vietnam War. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Colorado Medical Center in Denver.

Dr. Johnson is a board certified ophthalmologist who practices general medical ophthalmology. He performs routine eye examinations as well as ocular medical care. He offers medical management of glaucoma, diabetes, cataracts, ocular injury, infection, macular degeneration and other eye diseases.

Dr. Johnson is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and is professionally affiliated with the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Matthew Tripp, O.D.

Dr. Tripp did his undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and attended optometry school at the Inter-American University of Optometry in Puerto Rico. He has practiced in the Boulder County area since graduating in 2009

Dr. Tripp specializes in specialty contact lens fitting—for astigmatism, bifocals, and keratoconus. He offers comprehensive optometric services, including routine eye exams for all ages. He works to prevent, diagnose, manage, and treat eye issues including glaucoma, diabetes, cataracts, eye infection, ocular surface disease, macular degeneration, and dry eye. He is certified in the co-management of laser refractive surgery (LASIK and PRK).

Dr. Tripp is a member of the Colorado Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
