Diagnostic Equipment

OCT – Optical Coherence Tomography – a high-definition ultrasonic diagnostic system which takes views of the optic nerve and retina – used for management of conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy

Corneal Topography – diagnostic equipment for analysis of the cornea – used before cataract and refractive surgeries, for contact lens fitting, and for management of keratoconus and other corneal diseases

Optomap – takes a funduscopic photograph of structures in the back of the eye, i.e. the retina and the optic nerve – helps diagnose and monitor glaucoma, macular degeneration, and other retinal diseases

IOLMaster – currently the most accurate no-touch technique for intraocular lens calculation, in preparation for cataract surgery

VFA – Visual Field Analyzer – a diagnostic device for formal evaluation of peripheral vision – used to monitor glaucoma and any condition that could affect peripheral vision
